Valorant Mobile Early Tier List: Best Agents for Launch

Valorant Mobile Early Tier List

With Valorant Mobile finally launching with 16 agents, it's important to know which agents are strong and which are weak. Even though some agents may be on low tier, they may have some niche uses or they may be good on a map.

Our Ranking Criteria

We evaluated each agent based on:

  • Agent Power: How strong and impactful their abilities are
  • Learning Curve: Time needed to master the agent
  • Versatility: Performance across different maps and scenarios
  • Meta Relevance: How often they're picked in competitive play

For this early tier list, we'll examine the 16 agents available at launch and break them down by both overall performance and individual roles.

We'll rank Brimstone, Jett, Phoenix, Sage, Sova, Viper, Cypher, Reyna, Killjoy, Breach, Omen, Raze, Skye, Yoru, Astra, and Neon.

Agent viability depends not just on maps but also on rank—you can use Reyna to rank up quickly from Iron to Platinum, but in higher ranks, it is usually better to pick other duelists. However, in this tier list, we'll average out all factors and rank based on agent ability, difficulty, versatility, and overall effectiveness.

Tier Rankings

Valorant Mobile Tier List

S-Tier: Omen (Controller), Yoru (Duelist), and Raze (Duelist)

Omen is one of the best controllers in the game right now. He can use his smoke anywhere and can blind enemies and teleport himself, giving flexibility to players.

Yoru has teleportation and clone abilities, which are excellent for outplaying enemies as well as entering sites.

Raze has high damage abilities. Her Boom Bot is excellent for clearing corners, her grenade does massive damage, and her Blast Packs and Showstopper allow you to fly in the air and fire a rocket.

These agents are meta picks. They are relatively easy to play and their abilities are highly impactful, which makes them S-tier.

A-Tier: Cypher (Sentinel), Neon (Duelist), Viper (Controller), Sage (Sentinel), and Sova (Initiator)

Cypher is the ultimate site holder. His camera is excellent for keeping an eye on enemies, and his tripwires are perfect for locking down a site. He is pretty easy to play as well.

Neon is a duelist who has lightning speed. She can rotate the fastest, and her stun and wall create unique opportunities for clutches.

Viper is another controller who is strong. She has a poison cloud and wall, which are almost impossible to cross. She also has various combos for post-plant situations.

Sage is a very easy-to-play sentinel. Her walls block site entries, and her heals can heal both teammates and herself. Not to mention her ultimate can revive one player.

Sova is one of the first initiators in the game. If you really master him, there are so many things you can do with him. His drone can find enemies and clear corners, his recon dart scans all the enemies in one site, and his ultimate is perfect for post-plant scenarios.

These agents are also meta picks with powerful abilities, though Viper and Neon might take more time to learn effectively.

B-Tier: Astra (Controller), Reyna (Duelist), Jett (Duelist), and Killjoy (Sentinel)

Astra's stars provide the most versatile smoke system in the game with stuns, pulls, and smokes. She can control the map from anywhere. However, it is relatively hard to master her, and it needs a well-coordinated team to fully utilize her abilities.

Reyna is an incredible agent for ranking up fast in lower ranks as she is self-sufficient with her heals and dismiss. However, if you do not get kills, her influence becomes very minimal. In higher ranks, she is not preferred as much.

Jett is one of the most loved duelists of Valorant PC. Her updraft and dash are so fun to use—just fly and dash. She is also the best agent to use the Operator (Sniper) as her dash helps her escape very fast. But she needs lots of games to master her.

Killjoy is another easy-to-play sentinel. She has an Alarmbot and turret to watch over a site, but she cannot be very far from her utilities. Her ultimate is very good for clearing sites, and her Nanoswarm grenades are good for stopping enemies or in post-plant situations.

These agents are solid picks with clear strengths, but they either require higher skill levels or have limitations that prevent them from being consistently dominant.

C-Tier: Brimstone (Controller), Breach (Initiator), and Phoenix (Duelist)

Brimstone is the easiest controller to play. His smokes are straightforward and very easy to use. His molly and ultimate are strong in post-plant situations. He is only good on smaller maps like Bind.

Breach has the highest crowd control abilities like blinds and stuns. However, you need good team coordination with him. Also, using him requires good map knowledge.

Phoenix is a fun and self-sufficient duelist. His flash is good for entry, and his molly can damage enemies as well as heal him, which is good for solo carrying. But he is mediocre at everything, and his flashes are easy to counter.

These agents are perfectly viable and can be effective, but they're generally outclassed by higher-tier picks. They work well for learning the game or in specific situations.

D-Tier: Skye (Initiator)

Skye is not a bad agent, but there are better initiators. Being an initiator, she does not have reliable recon abilities. Her ultimate is also not very powerful.

While Skye has potential in coordinated team play, she requires too much coordination and skill to be consistently effective compared to other initiators.

The agent you play depends on your preferred role. There are four primary roles in Valorant Mobile: Duelist (Entry), Initiator (Information Gathering), Sentinel (Site Hold), and Controller (Smoke).

If you like to entry frag and create space for your team, you should play duelist agents.

If you prefer gathering information and helping your duelist get kills, you should pick initiator agents.

If you like placing utilities to hold sites and make it harder for enemies to enter or watch flanks, you should play sentinel agents.

If you like using smokes and providing team support, you should play controller agents.

Beginner Recommendations

Start with these agents based on your preferred role:

  1. Phoenix (Duelist) – Great for solo plays and getting kills
  2. Sage (Sentinel) – Place walls and heal teammates
  3. Brimstone (Controller) – Easy smokes with helpful team utility
  4. Sova (Initiator) – Gather information and reveal enemies
